Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Wizkid has achieved an unprecedented milestone with his latest album, 'Morayo', released on November 22, 2024.

In a remarkable display of dominance, all 17 tracks from the album secured positions within the top 17 on Apple Music's Top Songs Chart, less than 10 hours post-release. 

'Morayo', translating to "I see joy" in Yoruba, serves as a heartfelt tribute to Wizkid's late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023. The album's swift ascent underscores Wizkid's profound influence in the global music scene.

The lead single, "Piece of My Heart," has made significant strides, climbing to No. 4 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart and No. 7 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart. 

On Spotify, 'Morayo' has set new records, with one of its singles amassing 1.57 million streams on its opening day, marking a significant achievement in Nigeria's streaming history. 

This monumental success not only highlights Wizkid's artistic prowess but also reinforces the global appeal of Afrobeats, solidifying his position as a leading figure in the international music arena.
