Renowned Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared her harrowing experience battling a life-threatening illness that led to emergency surgery.

The 46-year-old actress took to her Instagram on Thursday to recount her ordeal, revealing that she underwent surgery to remove her gallbladder.

In the emotional video, Omotola detailed how the crisis began with an excruciating night of vomiting and unbearable stomach pain that sent her rushing to the emergency room for the third time.

“I threw up all night. By the morning, the most dilapidated stomach pain started, and I was rushed again to the emergency for the third time!” she recalled.

The tests that followed, including a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI, revealed the severity of her condition.

“The doctor said I have to go in for surgery immediately to remove my gallbladder. So the fight for my life began,” she shared.

Omotola expressed profound gratitude to God for seeing her through the ordeal and encouraged others facing dire medical situations to remain steadfast.

“Have you been told by the doctor that there’s nothing more we can do at this time? And you still feel like you are dying,” she said, speaking directly to those who may be in similar situations.

The revelation has drawn an outpouring of support and prayers from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Many have commended Omotola for her strength and for using her platform to inspire hope and awareness.
