Nigerian gospel musician, Damilare Odunuga, known as Dare Melody, recently shared heart-wrenching details about the struggles his late wife, Adedoyin, faced due to harsh treatment from his family. Adedoyin, who passed away from a heart-related illness on October 24, 2024, was described as a steadfast support in Dare Melody’s life.
In a video posted on Kilarigbo’s YouTube channel, Dare Melody revealed the extent of Adedoyin’s resilience despite the challenges. "My family frustrated Adedoyin,” he admitted, recalling how he would reassure her, “I am the one you got married to, and whenever you see me, put your mind at rest.”
He also praised Adedoyin for standing by him during challenging times, including his career’s turning point in 2010 when his hit album, Goodness and Mercy, revived his music journey. Acknowledging her unwavering support, Dare Melody shared, “A friend suggested we build a house for her as a gesture of gratitude, and I said, ‘everything I have belongs to her.’”
The couple, married since 2017, shared a bond that blessed them with three daughters. Fans and followers have poured in condolences, recognizing Adedoyin’s dedication and legacy in Dare Melody’s life and career.
