Popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has shared the heartwarming reason behind his decision to support his 18-year-old daughter, Aliyah, in piercing her navel.

In a candid interview with media personality VJ Adams, Ninalowo revealed that Aliyah initially expressed a desire to pierce her tongue. However, the actor admitted feeling uncomfortable with the idea and encouraged her to consider a navel piercing instead.

Explaining his reasoning, Ninalowo said his decision stemmed from his commitment to building a strong father-daughter bond. “It’s about connecting with her and understanding her choices,” he explained.

The actor shared that he personally drove his daughter to the piercing studio and paid for the procedure, emphasizing that a navel ring is easily removable and less permanent compared to other body modifications.

A video clip of Ninalowo discussing the incident has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While many praised the actor’s approach to open communication and trust with his daughter, others expressed differing views on parenting styles.

For Ninalowo, however, it was all about creating a safe and understanding environment for Aliyah. “It’s not about control; it’s about guidance,” he noted.
