Nigerian footballer Alex Iwobi is taking his influence beyond the pitch, using music to inspire young people to pursue their dreams. Recently, the 28-year-old Everton star dropped his second single, What’s Luv?, featuring friends SPKS and MBrown, following up on his debut track, Don’t Shoot, released in June.
Speaking with BBC Sport, Iwobi shared his motivation, reflecting on his own challenging upbringing in a tough London neighborhood. “I know how hard it can be, and I’m grateful to have a platform to try and make a difference,” he said. Through his music, Iwobi wants to show young people they don’t have to be confined to a single path. “I want them to be encouraged to achieve their dreams and focus on positive things,” he added.
Iwobi’s journey is resonating with fans, blending his love for football with music to inspire others, proving that success can be multifaceted.
