Popular social media critic, VeryDarkMan, has distanced himself from allegations that he is connected to threats against the family of renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN.
The controversy stems from a leaked audio recording, shared by VeryDarkMan in September, in which crossdresser Bobrisky claimed that Falana’s son, singer Falz, contacted him during his jail term, offering a presidential pardon for a N10 million bribe.

Following the release of the controversial audio, Falana and his son, Falz, threatened to sue VeryDarkMan for defamation. However, the situation has escalated further, with Falana alleging in an interview on Monday, October 7, that his daughter’s life has been threatened by unknown individuals.
Falana expressed deep concern over the threats, stating, "Some of these guys, who I believe were mentally derailed, have dared me that if I go to court, they will burn down my office and sent messages to one of my daughters, saying if your father goes to court, we shall kill you."
In a swift reaction posted on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan vehemently denied any involvement in the threats, expressing shock and concern over the situation. He reiterated that he does not condone such actions and offered his cooperation in identifying those responsible for the threats.
“I want to say I’m not aware or have knowledge of anyone sending threats to Uncle Femi Falana and his family. Secondly, I will never be part of anybody sending threatening messages to anyone in this country,” VeryDarkMan said. He added that he is "willing to cooperate and work with Femi Falana to fish out whoever sent the message."
The unfolding drama has reignited public interest, with many speculating on the possible motives behind the threats and what consequences this situation may have for both parties involved.
