Social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has publicly apologized to renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, over the insinuations he made involving Falana in the recent bribery scandal tied to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky.

During his appearance before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions on Monday, VeryDarkMan clarified his stance, stating that he never believed Falana was involved in the alleged N15 million bribery, a claim originating from a controversial audio linked to Bobrisky.

“Apparently now, some people are taking advantage of what is going on to target Femi Falana,” VeryDarkMan said. “Here, I apologize. It’s so sad that his name was inside that audio. I couldn’t believe it as well; that is the part that irritated me more, which I said I refuse to believe that he is a party to something like that.”

The apology comes after weeks of tension surrounding VeryDarkMan’s allegations that Bobrisky bribed EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges. Falana, who was named in the audio, had demanded a retraction, and this public apology from VeryDarkMan seems to be a step toward clearing Falana's name in the unfolding saga.

As the investigation continues, the focus remains on uncovering the truth behind the allegations, with VeryDarkMan’s apology serving as a critical turning point in the case.
