Popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has called on the Uber driver allegedly assaulted by Abia State lawmaker Alex Mascot Ikwechegh to reach out to him for support in seeking justice.
This call to action follows a viral video that surfaced online showing the lawmaker threatening and physically assaulting the driver. In the footage, Ikwechegh can be heard threatening to "make [the driver] disappear" and stating he would lock him up in his generator room.
In a passionate response on Instagram, VeryDarkMan expressed his determination to hold the lawmaker accountable for his actions. “Please, this guy should reach out to me. This man must pay for this assault,” he declared, adding, “How many people have you made to disappear? How many Nigerians have you assaulted and put in your generator room?”
The social media critic further emphasized the importance of accountability, reminding Ikwechegh, “We voted you in.”
The case has sparked outrage online, with many calling for an investigation into the lawmaker’s behavior and support for the victim.
