Social media activist Martins Ortse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has claimed that Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, was arrested on Monday while attempting to flee to Benin Republic.
According to VDM, Bobrisky was apprehended at the Seme border by Nigerian immigration authorities as he tried to evade an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives. The investigation follows allegations that Bobrisky bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million.
In a video shared on his Instagram, VDM stated, “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by the Nigeria Immigration.”
The claims stem from a recent audio recording released by VDM, where Bobrisky allegedly admitted to bribing EFCC officials and avoiding jail time through the influence of a “godfather.”
Bobrisky had been scheduled to appear before the House of Representatives for an investigative hearing but failed to attend, citing illness.
This latest development has stirred conversations across social media, with many speculating about the next steps in the ongoing investigation.
