Popular Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has revealed he fled Nigeria following an alleged assassination attempt, raising concerns about his safety in connection with the late singer Mohbad’s ongoing coroner investigation.

In a now-viral Instagram video, Fabiyi disclosed that his life was under threat after narrowly escaping an attempt on his life two days earlier. “I escaped assassination two days ago and they still planned to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow,” Fabiyi stated, adding that the plot was tied to his activism for justice in Mohbad’s case.
The actor, currently in hiding, explained that his sudden departure from Nigeria was unplanned, saying, “I have to run for my life. I just left Nigeria unplanned, and as it is now, I don’t even know my destination.”
