Popular comedian Dee One has openly criticized social media critic VeryDarkMan for accepting a substantial N100 million donation from music mogul Don Jazzy, highlighting what he perceives as hypocrisy.
The controversy stems from VeryDarkMan's recent criticism of Don Jazzy, particularly when the Mavin Records boss financially supported crossdresser Bobrisky while the latter was in prison. VeryDarkMan had publicly expressed disappointment in Don Jazzy for supporting Bobrisky at the time, calling the donation into question.
However, Dee One pointed out that VeryDarkMan's stance appeared to change after receiving the N100 million donation for his newly launched NGO from the same Don Jazzy he had criticized earlier. In a video posted to his Instagram, Dee One expressed his disappointment in the critic's integrity and consistency, sarcastically noting the shift in attitude.
“I am disappointed in VeryDarkMan,” Dee One remarked. “Don Jazzy gave him N100 million for his NGO after he criticized the same Don Jazzy for giving money to Bobrisky. The lesson here is, sometimes it's better not to speak on everything.”
