VeryDarkMan Calls for Removal of Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu Ahead of Cabinet Reshuffle [Video]

With President Bola Tinubu's much-anticipated cabinet reshuffling on the horizon, social critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly called for the removal of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, VDM expressed his dissatisfaction with the minister’s handling of Nigeria's power supply, particularly criticizing the controversial electricity segregation system of Band A, Band B, and Band C.

VDM didn’t mince words, arguing that the current structure, which allows some Nigerians to enjoy up to 20 hours of power a day while others endure minimal supply, is unjust.

“What is the reason for that segregation?” he asked. “Are you trying to say that poor people do not have access to light?” He emphasized that the system's inequity does not reflect the unified identity of Nigerians, regardless of their financial status.

His plea comes amidst growing speculation that Tinubu’s administration will reshuffle key ministers, with indications that some may be removed, while others could be reassigned to different portfolios. VDM's call for Adelabu’s removal is particularly pointed, as he questions the rationale behind a policy that seems to benefit some while leaving others in the dark—both literally and figuratively.

As the cabinet reshuffle looms, Nigerians are watching closely to see if President Tinubu will heed VDM’s call or keep Adelabu in his post. With public sentiment growing around issues of fairness and electricity access, this reshuffle could have lasting implications for the administration.
