In a surprising revelation, Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, has claimed that he penned several hit songs for his former labelmate, Wizkid, d

uring their time at Empire Mates Entertainment (EME). Appearing on Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Skales shared that he co-wrote multiple tracks for Wizkid’s debut album Super Star, including the bonus track “Wiz Party.”

Reflecting on their collaborative days at EME, Skales said, “Back in EME, we were a team, so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote songs for Wizkid. He also wrote songs for me, too." He added that while he wrote "Wiz Party" for Wizkid, the "Ojuelegba" singer returned the favor by writing Skales’ hit song “Mukulu.”

The duo, signed to EME by R&B star and music executive Banky W in the early 2010s, quickly rose to fame under the label. However, their paths diverged following disagreements with Banky W, leading to their departures.

This revelation has stirred discussions among fans, shedding light on the creative teamwork that fueled their early success. Though the two artists have since followed different musical paths, Skales’ claim adds another chapter to their intertwined journeys in the industry.

Interestingly, Banky W had previously revealed in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that Wizkid still owed the label three albums, further adding intrigue to their past collaboration. Fans are now buzzing with curiosity about the depth of the creative partnership between these two stars during their EME days.
