Nicki Minaj has come out in strong defense of Lil Wayne following the NFL's decision to select Kendrick Lamar over Wayne for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

In a heated post, Minaj took aim at Jay-Z, co-producer of the iconic event, accusing him of allowing personal grudges to influence the decision.

Minaj, visibly frustrated, pointed out Lil Wayne's immense contributions to the rap industry, arguing that his undeniable influence should have earned him the Super Bowl spotlight.

She alleged that Jay-Z's decisions were motivated by unresolved tensions between him, Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Drake. "Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego," she passionately wrote.

The Queen rapper also highlighted how Eminem, during his Super Bowl appearance, brought out 50 Cent, emphasizing how loyalty and recognition of contributions should transcend personal disagreements. Minaj's post quickly gained attention, sparking widespread debate online.

Birdman also expressed his disapproval, asserting that the Young Money family deserves their due recognition. While Lil Wayne has yet to address the situation, fans and fellow artists like Master P and Cam'ron have rallied in support of the New Orleans rapper, criticizing the NFL's decision and Jay-Z's role in the snub.
