Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky, has taken legal action against internet activist and critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), following the release of a controversial audio clip.
The viral post, shared by VDM, allegedly captures Bobrisky detailing how he bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to drop money laundering charges and received special treatment during his six-month jail term.

Bobrisky, however, has fiercely denied the authenticity of the audio, claiming it was artificially generated using AI. The cross-dresser’s legal team swiftly responded with a lawsuit, demanding that VeryDarkMan delete the audio immediately, issue a public apology in two national newspapers, and share a video apology across all social media platforms.
The suit also includes a staggering N1 billion damages claim for defamation. Bobrisky's legal team made it clear that VDM must cease publishing any further defamatory content against their client and meet the demands within 24 hours.
The letter shared by Bobrisky reads: “We demand, on behalf of our client, a written apology published in two national daily newspapers, a video recording of your apology to our client shared on all your social media platforms, a commitment to refrain from reporting or publishing defamatory content against our client, and the payment of N1,000,000,000 in damages within 24 hours.”
