Popular Nigerian actor Williams Uchemba has taken to social media to address a trend he observes among some women, criticizing those who demand extravagant things from men that they themselves cannot afford.

Uchemba shared his thoughts in a post on his official Facebook page, suggesting that this entitlement mentality is a key reason why many women remain single.

Uchemba began by emphasizing a principle he believes should guide behavior: "There is a law that says anything you cannot afford do not request it in a restaurant." He extended this idea to relationships, arguing that it is unreasonable for women to expect things from men that they would never be able to afford on their own, even with years of hard work.

He pointed out that some women make "crazy requests," such as asking for luxury items like G-Wagons or the latest iPhones, without considering the implications of such demands. Uchemba labeled this behavior as a "spirit of greed" and suggested that it stems from a deeper issue, which he described as having "elements of a Jezebelian spirit." He warned that no man would want to marry a woman who exhibits such characteristics.

Uchemba also drew a distinction between "appealing" and "requesting," advising women that there is nothing wrong with appealing to a partner for something, but the problem arises when women feel entitled to these demands. He noted that character, not physical appearance or material demands, is what ultimately attracts and keeps a man.

"That is why you see people you think you are better than getting married and you are wondering. They got married because they have character. Or do you think it is your body that keeps a man? Dey play. That thing you think keeps a man is temporary. Wait until you give birth. Do not place value on those, place value on your character," Uchemba concluded.

His comments have sparked discussion online, with some agreeing with his perspective on the importance of character in relationships, while others have debated the implications of his statements on gender dynamics and expectations in modern relationships.
