Popular rapper Vector Tha Viper has called on Nigerian celebrities to cease supporting bad governance. This appeal comes amid growing participation of celebrities in partisan politics and their open declarations of support for various politicians.
In a recent post on his X handle, Vector criticized celebrities who take sides against the interests of their fans and the general public. He warned that the ongoing hardship in the country would eventually affect them if they continued to support poor governance.
Vector wrote, “To the celebrities taking sides against the reality of their own people/fans, it may be best to repent before you become the only reachable option if the hardship doesn’t stop. Stop supporting bad governance.”

His statement is set against the backdrop of the ongoing nationwide protest over the severe hardship faced by many Nigerians, urging celebrities to align themselves with the people's struggles rather than political interests.
