Nigerian music legend Onyeka Onwenu, fondly known as the "Elegant Stallion," was laid to rest in Lagos State following a heartfelt funeral service at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju.
The service was attended by family, friends, and notable figures, including former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Onwenu, who passed away on July 30, 2024, after collapsing at a birthday celebration for Dr. Stella Okoli, Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, was a trailblazing singer, songwriter, actor, journalist, activist, and politician. She was interred in a private burial ceremony at a vault in Ikoyi.
