In a recent interview snippet from Africa Now Radio, Fireboy shared his excitement about working with Lagbaja, a figure revered for his anonymity and masked persona.
To the surprise of many, Fireboy revealed that even during their studio session, he never saw Lagbaja’s face, as the legendary musician remained masked throughout the recording.

"You wouldn’t believe this; he was masked up in the studio. It was crazy—I did not get to see his face," Fireboy said, adding that the experience was surreal yet fitting, given Lagbaja’s iconic status as "Mr. Nobody," a name derived from the Yoruba language.
Fireboy, who rose to fame with his hit single "Jealous" in 2019, expressed his deep respect for Lagbaja, describing the collaboration as an honor. “All that matters is that we made the music,” he stated, underscoring the importance of the creative process over the need for physical familiarity.
