Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody after spending six days at the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja.

The artist had been detained following allegations of involvement in illegal activities related to Flutterwave and cryptocurrency scams. The situation escalated when Krane accused his colleague, Davido, of orchestrating his arrest by allegedly paying the police to detain him.

Upon his release, Dammy Krane took to social media to express his gratitude to the police and social media activist VeryDarkMan for their support during the ordeal. In a surprising turn, Krane also issued a public apology to Davido, retracting some of the accusations he had made.

"I know there are a lot of words that ought not to be said. I want to apologize for this Tagbo death allegation. David is my brother, and we will find common ground to resolve everything," Krane said, referring to a previous dispute between the two artists.

Krane also used the opportunity to announce his upcoming project, "King of Afrobeats," which is set to be released on September 6. The project marks a significant moment in Krane's career as he looks to move past recent controversies and refocus on his music. Fans are eagerly anticipating the new release, hoping for a fresh start for the artist.
