Maverick entertainer and activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has issued a stern warning, stating that the only viable solution to bad governance in Nigeria is a revolution.
He described the ongoing August 1 to 10 nationwide protest as merely a "dress rehearsal" for the main event, which he predicts will be unannounced and far more intense.
He described the ongoing August 1 to 10 nationwide protest as merely a "dress rehearsal" for the main event, which he predicts will be unannounced and far more intense.
In a post shared on his official X handle, Charly Boy expressed concerns that if the Nigerian government fails to heed the demands of the youth, the ensuing revolution could be both destructive and bloody. He emphasized that the forthcoming revolution will not be televised and will surpass anything the country has ever seen.
"It will take A Revolution To find A Solution to bad leadership. I see the August 1st to 10th as a dress rehearsal for the main event. The main event will be Unannounced. It will be madder than we ever Imagined. The REVOLUTION will not be Televised. Destruction and Blood will line in its wake. Hopefully, it will be The Outcome That Will Bring The SOLUTION," Charly Boy wrote.
This statement comes amid ongoing protests led by Nigerian youths, who have been demonstrating since August 1, demanding an end to the severe hardship plaguing the nation. The protests have gained momentum, with organizers planning a massive one-million-man march across the country on Saturday.
Charly Boy's bold declaration has sparked widespread discussion, with many wondering what the future holds for Nigeria as the nation faces increasing tension between the government and its citizens.
