American rapper Cardi B has revealed that she is expecting her third child, just a day after filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Offset. The 31-year-old hip-hop star shared the joyous news on Instagram on Thursday, showcasing her baby bump in a heartfelt post.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” Cardi B wrote, expressing her gratitude and excitement.
This announcement follows her recent legal move to end her marriage with Offset, 32. The Grammy-winning rapper is seeking primary custody of their two children, son Wave Set, 2, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6, according to a representative and confirmed by People magazine.
Cardi B and Offset secretly tied the knot in 2017 and have had a tumultuous relationship since. They initially filed for divorce in September 2020 but reconciled a month later. Despite their attempts to work through their issues, the couple's relationship has been marred by accusations of infidelity from both sides.
In June 2023, Cardi B publicly criticized Offset after he accused her of cheating, a claim she denied. Offset has also faced allegations of infidelity in the past, contributing to the strain on their marriage.
