Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison.
This follows his conviction by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 5, for mutilating naira notes. Okuneye faced charges on four counts related to naira abuse and pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024. Shortly after his release, a video surfaced showing him celebrating with friends, vibing to the song "Egwu" by Mohbad and Chike. In the video, his friends can be heard saying, "We are out of prison. Congratulations Bobrisky."
