Rising Nigerian singer Boypee has firmly denied reports that he and his collaborators, Brown Joel and Hyce, took down the video of their hit song Ogechi Remix featuring Davido due to alleged greed on the part of the DMW boss.

The video, which gained significant attention as the wedding song for Afrobeats superstar Davido and his wife Chioma, was recently removed from YouTube over copyright issues.

After the video was taken down, an X user with the handle @Johnnyescoba posted a report falsely attributed to Boypee, claiming that the removal was because Davido wanted to take all the royalties from the video views. The post quoted Boypee as saying, “We had to take down the Ogechi Remix video cuz Davido wanted to take all the royalties.”

In response, Boypee quickly debunked the claim, quoting the post and writing, "You and who talk that one? To what profit eh guy? Wetin you wan use my downfall do?” This statement makes it clear that Boypee did not make any such accusations against Davido and that the rumors are unfounded.

The situation highlights the ongoing speculation and rumors surrounding the removal of the Ogechi Remix video, with Boypee setting the record straight on the matter.
