Bobrisky Expresses Desire to Return to Kirikiri Correctional Centre After Release [Video]

Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has made headlines once again by expressing a surprising desire to return to Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

Bobrisky, who was released on August 5, 2024, after serving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira by spraying it at parties, described his prison experience as a "vacation."

In an interview on the ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ show, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Bobrisky reflected on his time in prison and revealed that he would be open to going back, albeit for a short term.

He stated, "I see my jail term as a vacation. You know, on vacation, you go and rest. I’ve been working so hard, and I think their decision was okay for me."

Bobrisky, who was sentenced on April 12, 2024, by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos, argued that his imprisonment for spraying money was unjust and intended to break his spirit. "The decision was to break me, but sadly, nothing happened to Mummy of Lagos. I’m still fine, I’m still good, and I will continue to be fine and good," he said.

When asked by the host if he would consider going back to prison, Bobrisky responded affirmatively, though he clarified that he would prefer a short-term stay. He continued to express his disbelief at being sentenced to prison for simply spending his own money, saying, "It’s funny to me. Everything happened like a movie. Spraying of money? It’s my money. I’m not owing anybody money. I did not steal money. I did not kidnap, I did not rape. I did not kill anybody."

Despite his prison experience, Bobrisky insisted that he is not an ex-convict, maintaining that being convicted for spraying money does not warrant such a label. "I’m not an ex-convict because I can’t be convicted for spraying money. So I won’t accept it," he concluded.
