Famous Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has candidly revealed the reasons behind his distant relationship with his first daughter. In a viral interview with popular media personality Timi Agbaje, Seun discussed his fatherhood journey and the complexities surrounding his family dynamics.
Seun shared that he had a baby mama before marrying his wife, Yetunde, which has contributed to the lack of connection with his first child. Despite describing fatherhood as his greatest achievement, he acknowledged the challenges in his relationship with his first daughter.
"The greatest thing I ever achieved is becoming a father," Seun stated. "I have two kids but I’m not really close to my other daughter, but to have the joy of that is my greatest achievement."
He further explained, "It's complicated circumstances. No family is perfect, but I’m not close to the mother of my first daughter. I wasn’t married when I had my first daughter. Interestingly, I only had premarital sex twice before my first daughter was born."
Seun's openness about his personal life has sparked discussions on social media about the complexities of fatherhood and the impact of family relationships on children.
