In a shocking turn of events, American rapper Lil Durk's 10-year-old son has allegedly shot his stepfather, Joshua Pippens, during a domestic dispute involving the boy's mother.

Surveillance footage reportedly captured the harrowing moment when the young boy grabbed a gun from Pippens, aimed it at him, and fired. The video shows Pippens, dressed in orange, attempting to restrain the child's mother, who is wearing purple. The boy, seen in a red t-shirt and shorts, then points the weapon at Pippens, leading to a single gunshot and Pippens falling to the ground.

The incident, which occurred on July 1, has since led to Pippens speaking out from his hospital bed. In an Instagram post, Pippens claimed he was not the aggressor, suggesting that the boy acted under his mother's influence.

Pippens wrote, "As y’all can see I was not the aggressor. And y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip. He grabbed my gun off my hip following his mom’s lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me."

He expressed disbelief and sadness over the incident, emphasizing his past efforts to care for the boy. "I never in a million years thought a kid I bought four wheelers and paid football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him. I still love him like he’s mine."

Pippens also hinted that the argument may have centered around custody arrangements for a child the couple shares, noting, "Whatever makes y’all feel better. That’s why I got custody of my kids and she don’t. Y’all so internet think [sic] god it was me that took the shot and not her."

As of now, rapper Lil Durk has not publicly responded to the incident, leaving many to speculate on the impact this will have on all involved parties.
