Josh2Funny Reveals Why He Stopped Playing, Female Character, 'Mama Felicia' [Video]

Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Chibuike Josh Alfred, popularly known as Josh2Funny, has revealed the reason behind his decision to stop portraying his famous female character, "Mama Felicia," in his skits.

In a candid discussion on 'The Honest Bunch' podcast, Josh2Funny shared that he decided to retire the character due to unwanted advances from homosexual men.

Josh2Funny explained that the harassment he faced from gay men became overwhelming and embarrassing, prompting him to cease playing the role. He emphasized that his portrayal of "Mama Felicia" was purely for comedic purposes and was never intended to attract such attention.

"The difference between me and other male content creators playing female characters is that mine was straight comedy. Any gay that would be attracted to me because of the character, is senseless. Because I made sure it was stupid, ‘Mama Felicia’ is a stupid character. It was just stupid," Josh2Funny stated.

He recounted specific incidents where men professed their love for him, including one individual who contacted him via WhatsApp. Josh2Funny responded to the advances by threatening to pray for the man to go blind, highlighting the extent of his discomfort.

"Harassment from gays was part of the reason I left ‘Mama Felicia’ character. It was after that that I turned to ‘Brother Zakius.’ Instead of wearing female dresses, I had to start putting on male clothes. Because the advances from gays was becoming embarrassing for me. I just want to make people laugh," he said.
