Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Veronica Hailey Imade Adeleke. In a recent Instagram post, the 'OBO' crooner shared a nostalgic photo of his mother in her academic regalia, accompanied by the caption, “My mom was a baddie.”
Davido’s mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke, passed away on March 6, 2003, at the age of 39. She was a respected lecturer at Babcock University, where Davido would later pursue a degree in music. Beyond her academic contributions, Mrs. Adeleke also founded a band called ‘Davido’s Band’ in honor of her son, reflecting her deep support for his musical aspirations.
The singer's tribute not only highlights his mother's beauty and spirit but also underscores the enduring impact she had on his life and career. Davido has honored her legacy by naming his two daughters, Imade and Hailey, after her.
