The ongoing social media feud between controversial Nigerian singer Portable and his colleague Davido has taken a dramatic turn. Portable has hit back at Davido after the DMW boss unfollowed him on Instagram, intensifying their public fallout.
The tension between the two artists began when Portable accused Davido of giving him “bad advice” during their recent dinner in the United States. Portable claimed that Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the label and urged him to sign with Empire instead. Portable alleged that this advice was a deliberate move to hinder his Grammy aspirations, as he is also aiming for the prestigious award like Davido.
Following Portable’s public accusations, Davido unfollowed him on Instagram on Thursday. In response, Portable posted a fiery video message on his Instagram page, expressing his disdain for the unfollow and asserting his independence.
“They tried to destroy me and quickly unfollowed me because I stopped being beneficial to them. Whether you help me or not, I will do my tour; whether you follow me or not, I will collect Grammy,” Portable declared in the video.
