Afrobeats star and latest groom, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently opened up about the challenges of marrying an Igbo woman. On Tuesday, Davido tied the knot with his wife, Chioma Rowland, who hails from Imo State.
In a candid conversation on music executive Ubi Franklin’s Instagram live session shortly after the wedding, Davido expressed his views on the subject. “E no easy. E no easy to marry Igbo woman. Igbo woman, e no easy,” he stated. However, he did not delve into the specifics behind his claim.
The wedding ceremony, held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, was a grand affair attended by top celebrities, dignitaries, and family members. During the ceremony, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that their daughter would be well-protected and respected in their union. The singer reaffirmed his commitment by promising her “a lifetime assurance,” referencing his popular hit song "Assurance."
