Nigerian music producer turned blogger, Samklef, has recently opened up about his past feelings for singer Simi. Despite harboring affection for her during their early days as struggling artists, he never pursued a romantic relationship.
Samklef revealed that he was on the verge of expressing his feelings when Simi ended her previous relationship. However, he ultimately chose not to pursue her to maintain a boundary between his personal and professional life.
Samklef shared this on Sunday, saying, “I love Simi. I almost asked her out when she broke up with her ex, Lekan. But I wanted to keep things professional, so it wouldn’t affect our business… Adekunle, please say hi to your wife for me. Life isn’t that complicated.”

Samklef also shared that despite his efforts, he felt that Simi's family did not treat him well. He expressed forgiveness towards them but specifically mentioned feeling overly criticized by her brother, whom he described as "over sabi."
Simi is now happily married to Adekunle Gold, and they share a daughter named Adejare.
