Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" has achieved a remarkable milestone, following Beyoncé's groundbreaking success with "Texas Hold 'Em." Beyoncé's lead single from her album "Cowboy Carter" made her the first Black woman to top Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, reshaping the genre with her unique vision.

Now, Shaboozey, a collaborator on Beyoncé's album, has made history alongside her. "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" soared from Number 6 to Number 1 on the chart, displacing Beyoncé's hit after its 10-week reign.

Shaboozey released the song on April 12, reaching the top spot in just two weeks. This marks the first time that two Black artists have consecutively held the chart's number one position, a testament to their immense talent and impact on country music.

“I cannot say thank you enough for this,” the artist wrote on Instagram when “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” made its chart debuts at Number 6 on the Hot Country Songs chart and Number 36 on the Hot 100. “Being from a small town in Northern Virginia, I never dreamed of actualizing anything even remotely close to this,” he continued. “And to know it’s truly just the beginning. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Shaboozey's versatility came to the fore when he contributed to two lesser-known tracks on Cowboy Carter. He collaborated with country icon Linda Martell on "Spaghettii" and reunited with Beyoncé on "Sweet Honey Buckiin'," showcasing his ability to transcend genres.

Following the release of Cowboy Carter, Shaboozey announced his upcoming album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, set to drop on May 31. The album will include his previously released singles "Annabelle," "Let It Burn," and "Vegas," along with the chart-topping "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."

This announcement adds to the anticipation surrounding Shaboozey's musical journey and the evolution of his unique sound.
