Abosede, the mother of the late singer Mohbad, is adamant that her daughter-in-law, Wunmi, must have a DNA test conducted on their son, Liam.
Despite Wunmi initially agreeing to the DNA test, she has now changed her mind and refuses to go through with it.
She believes that only her late husband had the right to request a DNA test from her, as Mohbad was the only man she had ever been with and he was the one who took her virginity.
Wunmi, who was the wife of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has changed her mind about allowing a DNA test to be conducted on their son, Liam.
Despite calls from some Nigerians, including her father-in-law Joseph Aloba, for a DNA test to determine Liam's paternity after the rapper's death, Wunmi had initially agreed to the test. However, she has now decided against it and is no longer open to the idea of a DNA test on Liam.
In an audio message circulating on social media, Wunmi stated that only her deceased husband has the authority to ask for a DNA test from her. She alleged that Mohbad was the one who took her virginity and that he is the only man she has been intimate with.
In her words:
“Mohbad disvirgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test. I have never slept with any man except him. I will never do any DNA; no one can tell me to do DNA except I wish to. Koni daa fun gbogbo yin ranting about DNA.”

Mohbad's mother responded to the video of Wunmi's claims by suggesting that a DNA test be done on Liam. She emphasized that the matter of a DNA test is a private family matter and urged outsiders to refrain from interfering in their affairs.
In her words:
“Nigerians should not be concerned about DNA issue, it was supposed to be a family issue. I insisted on it from the onset. It was Mohbad’s father that publicized the issue.
“Why are Nigerians hypocrites? By God’s grace, we shall get justice for Mohbad, even if his father’s intentions are different.
“Let Omowunmi do her part too. I cannot support her. I want her to do the DNA test.”
“Wunmi must do the DNA”
