Ashanti Announces Engagement to Nelly and Pregnancy

Rapper Nelly and R&B star Ashanti are set to tie the knot and expecting their first child together, as revealed by Ashanti in an exclusive interview with Essence Magazine.

In the interview, Ashanti expressed her joy and gratitude for the blessings in her life, including her forthcoming journey into motherhood. She shared her excitement in sharing this new chapter with her family, fiancé, and supportive fans.

Ashanti and Nelly began dating in 2003 but parted ways in 2013. They rekindled their romance in 2023, publicly confirming their relationship in an Instagram post on Ashanti's birthday in October.

While this will be Ashanti's first child, Nelly has two children from a previous relationship and two adopted children from his stepsister, Jaqueline Donahue, who tragically passed away from leukaemia in 2005.
