Actor Ayoola reveals the reasons behind his suicide attempt

Actor Ayoola, a popular Nollywood actor and singer, recently opened up about a dark period in his life when he attempted suicide. 

The actor, known for his role in 'The Men's Club', revealed that he struggled with depression and thoughts of ending his life when he found out he was going to be a father unexpectedly. 

Feeling unprepared for fatherhood, Ayoola made the difficult decision to try to take his own life.

During a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actor expressed regret for his actions when he looked at his son.

Ayoola said, “The time the pregnancy for my son came, I wasn’t prepared to be a father. I got depressed and almost took my life. I deliberately miscalculated while crossing the road so that I would be hit and the car just brushed me.

“I look at my son now and I’m like, ‘This is what I was about to miss? This is whose live I was about to destroy?’ This little boy would have been fatherless".
