Artist Peruzzi has vowed to take legal action against an influencer who sparked a debate online by posting a fictitious tweet about him and Chioma Adeleke.
Social media users were stirred by a photoshopped tweet that claimed Peruzzi was involved in a scandal with Davido, the head of his record company, and Chioma, Davido’s wife.
The scandal originated from a tweet by @belikebaddy, a Twitter user, who posted a faked tweet purportedly from Peruzzi’s account, suggesting that Davido had severed ties with him due to an alleged relationship with Chioma.

Peruzzi promptly clarified that he had no connection to the fake tweet, labeling it as entirely fabricated.
After encountering the manipulated tweet, Peruzzi cautioned @belikebaddy about the potential legal consequences of spreading false information.
Subsequently, @belikebaddy publicly apologized and took responsibility for the fake tweet.
“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involved @peruzzi and @davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions have caused, and I promise it’ll never happen again. My apologies to DMW Management,” he wrote.
Peruzzi, on the other hand, was adamant about taking legal action.
Peruzzi expressed his commitment to seek legal action and urged his followers to support the cause by raising awareness and finances for the court fight.
The singer wrote:
“Y’all retweet this, so he can have money for court. God forgives, I do too. But not this time. F**k that.”
