Disappointment for Nigerian Artists as 66th Grammys Yield No Wins

In a surprising turn of events at the 66th Grammy Awards held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, United States, all five nominated Nigerian artists failed to secure any awards.

The nominated artists included Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake; Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy; David Adeleke, also known as Davido; Olamide Adedeji, fondly called Baddo; and Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, known as Ayra Starr.

Despite a total of 10 combined nominations across various award categories, the Nigerian artists faced disappointment as none of them emerged victorious at the prestigious music event.
