Well, as expected, Eedris Abdulkareem, the ace rapper promised and has delivered. He said he was going to respond to his haters via a song. He has done that.

He shared a teaser of his new rap song on his Instagram page 12 hours ago where he jabbed controversial media person, Daddy Freeze.

After his explosive interview with The Honest Bunch a couple of days ago, Eedris's popularity has taken to the sky. In the interview, he dropped a series of controversial comments about different celebrities that caused quite a stir.

He talked about the 50Cent beef that got RudeBoy of P-Square talking and other singers too. His claim to have sacrificed for singers in Nigeria made matters worse as many old and new artistes went after him.

He took a swipe at the likes of Burna Boy who replied to him and engaged in some exchanges. He also slide tackled Charly Boy calling him greedy.

During the interview, part of what led to serious uproar was his comment about the story behind their now-defunct group, The Remedies. The stories didn't go down well with
Eddy and Tony Tetuila who were members then. They called him a liar saying his story about the origin of the group was twisted. They did this via videos shared on X and also in interviews with Daddy Freeze.

Well, as he promised Burna Boy, he has dropped the rap song as a reply to all the hullabaloo. We at Nollywood Times don't think he likes Daddy Freeze at all because he took a swipe at him too. It could be an old-time beef or due to the interview with his ex-group members.

Yesterday, Friday, Eedris dropped a very short clip of the upcoming track titled ‘Poverty’ via Instagram with the caption:

"Poverty is now a widespread disease affecting more Nigerians than ever before. Empty pots and plates are now becoming common sights, it is really that bad.

"So, this song aptly titled "Poverty" by @bgwellingtonsuits @blackgoldintown featuring me, deals directly with the issues on the frontburner of discussions in the country, and that too should be our collective concern. That's why I find it funny when some people start acting as paid agents of the government, trying to divert our attention from the topical issues bedeviling our nation today, as they spin tales by torchlight.

"I implore the haters to continue hating and wasting their energies and time if they so wish.

"I also implore them as a patriotic Nigerian to channel the same amount of energy in helping to proffer workable solutions to the ills killing us.

"Watch out for the POVERTY, it is the real deal"

The short teaser goes:

"Nigerians go dey live as slaves in their country"
"Because of happy fools wey dey defend politicians"
"And some daddy freezers wey dey insult pastors"
"Later in the night go chill with fraudsters....."

However, Eedris earlier Saturday morning dropped a post to show that he was not afraid of what people say. He said: "My Love for the truth outweighs my fear of offending you"
