Actors Guild of Nigeria Appoints Special Advisers, Unveils Film Festival Schedule/Date

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has appointed several special advisers to its members. Led by Ejezie Emeka Rollas, the AGN serves as the governing body for professional actors in Nigeria's Nollywood film industry.

Established in 1998, the guild aims to represent screen actors, entertain the Nigerian public, educate the global audience about Nigerian culture, and defend the rights of its members.

The guild boasts over one million members from across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones, with Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu serving as the national secretary and six vice presidents representing each zone.

The newly appointed special advisers include:

AGN International Festival

In other news, the AGN unveiled the 2nd edition of its International Festival, scheduled for August 8 to 10, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, USA. The festival, themed "The Actors Marketplace (TAMP)," promises to surpass its previous edition held in Miami, Florida, USA.

The event will run in association with the Africa Travel Film Festival (AFTRAFF) and in collaboration with Dream Magic Studios, a subsidiary of the Silverbird Group. Notable attendees include Actors Guild of Nigeria Board of Trustees Chairman, Emmanuel Ogugua, and Joke Silva, a member of the BOT. The festival's chief host will be Ben Bruce.
