Now Streaming On Netflix: "Adire" Showcases Kehinde Bankole's Acting Prowess [Video]

"Adire" a film by FilmOne studios started streaming on Netflix yesterday 12th of January 2023 and Kehinde Bankole has been trending on Twitter because of her stellar performance in the movie.

Adeoluwa ‘Captain Degzy’ Owu directs the film, featuring Emmanuel ‘Cinemmaofficial’ Igbekele Odihiri as the Director of Photography. Jack’enneth Opukeme, the writer and creator, brings to life the story produced by Mimi Bartels and Barbara Babarinsa.

The cast includes Kehinde Bankole, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Kelechi Udegbe, Femi Branch, Yemi Blaq, Tomi Ojo, Mike Afolarin, Ifeanyi Kalu, Ibrahim Chatta, Lizzy Jay, Idowu Phillips, Yvonne Jegede, Jack’enneth Opukeme, and Layi Wasabi in the film titled Adire.

Set against the backdrop of a small, conservative village in Oyo town, the narrative revolves around Adire, a retired prostitute on the run. She relocates to a small town and initiates a lingerie-making business using a signature Nigerian material, adire.

As her business empowers the conservative women of the town, it simultaneously infuriates Folasade, the self-appointed leader, deaconess, and wife to the local church's preacher.

Amidst the conservative setting, Adire discovers unexpected friendships and love. However, her newfound paradise is disrupted by 'Captain,' her former pimp, who seeks retribution for the money she stole to start her new life.
