YouTube: Burna Boy is now the most streamed artiste in Sub-Saharan Africa

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has claimed the top spot as the most streamed Sub-Saharan African artist on YouTube.

Burna Boy has garnered an impressive 2.52 billion streams on the platform, surpassing Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, who previously held the position with 2.37 billion streams.

Following Burna Boy, the rankings for the most streamed Sub-Saharan African artists on YouTube include Wizkid at the third position with 1.83 billion streams, followed by Congolese legend Fally Ipupa (1.61 billion streams), and Nigerian artist Davido (1.50 billion streams).

The top ten list is completed by Rema (1.41 billion streams), CKay (1.30 billion streams), Flavour (1.19 billion streams), P Square (1.14 billion streams), and Tekno (1.01 billion streams). These rankings underscore the global influence and popularity of Nigerian and African music on digital platforms.
