Recall that Nollywood Times reported that the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Dr Emeka Rollas disclosed to newsmen that Mr Ibu, has undergone another leg amputation and is barely able to talk.
However, the family of the ailing actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has clarified that the actor did not undergo amputation on both legs. This comes in response to recent reports suggesting that Mr Ibu had a second leg amputation.

The clarification was made through a post shared on the actor's Instagram page. The family explained that the second amputation was performed on the same leg that had undergone the initial procedure because the first amputation did not completely address his health issues.
Contrary to reports, the family clarified that Mr Ibu is not diabetic. Instead, he has been dealing with constant blood clotting in his leg (diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges that pose a risk to his life, necessitating the need for the amputation.
The family further revealed that Mr Ibu has not been flown abroad for advanced treatment because doctors have deemed him "Not fit to fly." Despite these challenges, the family assured that the legendary comic star is recuperating and called on friends, colleagues, fans, and Nigerians at large to keep him in their prayers while urging everyone to refrain from spreading unconfirmed reports about his health.
