The much-talked-about celebrity boxing match slated for Boxing Day has come and gone. It was an entertaining night and one to remember.

It was a pulsating showdown on Boxing Day at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State, the heated feud between Nigerian street-pop sensation Habeeb Badmus, also known as Portable, and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha reached its climax.

Nollywood Times reported that the two celebrities, entangled in a bitter online dispute over an alleged N40 million financial dispute, opted to settle their grievances in a high-stakes boxing match sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment.

As the clock struck past 1 am, the electrifying atmosphere at Landmark Beach set the stage for a fierce battle between Portable and Okocha. The fight, which lasted a gripping 40 minutes, saw both entertainers unleash a torrent of punches, embodying the intensity of their animosity.

The tension between the duo had escalated during a fiery press conference leading up to the Tuesday night clash. Insults and threats were exchanged, setting the tone for a sports spectacle that would ultimately see Portable emerge victorious after the fourth round.

The Nigerian street-pop artist proved his mettle in the ring, securing a decisive win over Nollywood's Charles Okocha, solidifying his claim as the champion of the celebrity boxing fight.

Before the Tuesday evening match, the two performers engaged in numerous confrontations at a press conference, hurling insults and making threats at each other.

“The belt is mine, I am the owner, and I will beat him. This is not about English, I will use my punch to beat you.

“I am going to take this belt on the 26th and I will take it to Sango and show everyone at home. If you want to start it here, we will start it here, I am ready for you,” Portable said.

Okocha responded promising to knockout the ‘Zazu’ crooner saying, “Bring it on, I am going to knock you out to sleep.”

In the opening round one, Portable, sporting a blue knicker and armless top, dominated the ring with a confident start. He unleashed a series of jabs to Okocha's body, establishing control early on.

On the other side, Okocha, clad in a red top and shorts, found himself on the receiving end but geared up for a comeback in the subsequent rounds.
