Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Balogun, widely recognized as Wizkid, has made a significant announcement regarding his career. In a series of Instagram posts on Sunday, Wizkid revealed his intention to take an extended break from the music scene. He stated that he would be stepping away for a period of four to five years, indicating a considerable hiatus from his music career.

This announcement has sparked reactions from fans and the industry, as they come to terms with the idea of a Wizkid-less music landscape for the foreseeable future.
