Timi Dakolo ask NFF to sack Peseiro over embarrassing display against Lesotho

Popular singer and songwriter Timi Dakolo has expressed his doubt about Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro's ability to lead Nigeria to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Dakolo made this assertion in response to Nigeria's 1-1 draw against Lesotho in a World Cup qualifier.

The match, which took place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, saw goals from Motlomelo Mkhwanazi and Semi Ajayi in the second half, resulting in a draw.

Dakolo, in a tweet on his X (formerly Twitter) account, labeled the Super Eagles' performance as "very embarrassing" and questioned Peseiro's capability to guide the team to the World Cup in 2026.

“Dear @thenff, this coach can’t be the best coach available for a country like Nigeria,” he tweeted.

“This is very embarrassing. This man can’t take the Super Eagles to the World Cup. It is actually painful to watch.”

Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in their next World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
