Renowned Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has taken a firm stand against Nigerians who criticized Davido for referring to her as his younger sister during one of her visits to his house. The backlash ensued despite the fact that both artists are of the same age.
In a recent interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, Teni addressed the controversy and expressed her dismay at the unnecessary criticism directed towards Davido. Teni clarified that she holds no resentment over Davido's use of the term "my younger sister."
In an attempt to shed light on the triviality of the issue, Teni drew attention to her own experiences, using the analogy of her driver addressing her as "madam" despite the significant age difference between them.
By employing this comparison, Teni aimed to question the sensibility of those who found fault with Davido's choice of words, effectively shutting down the critics.

She said, ” Those criticising Davido are insane. Davido that helps me to produce a song and the song blows.”
