‘If my parents were together, I wouldn’t be celebrity’ – Tolanibaj

Reality show star and disc jockey Tolani Baj, known for her stint on Big Brother Naija, shared a perspective on her life's trajectory, suggesting that her celebrity status might not have been a reality if her parents had stayed together.

Tolani Baj revealed on the Bahd and Boujee Podcast, co-hosted by herself and actress Moet Abebe, that if her parents were still married, her father would have likely prioritized her education and career in the civil service rather than her involvement in showbiz.

She described her father as not being a supporter of the entertainment industry and expressed the belief that he would have steered her toward a more conventional path.

She said: “If my parents were together, I don’t think I would be a celebrity. Because my dad was so anti-entertainment. I would just do master’s, Ph.D. My dad would even look for a job in the government for me. There’s nothing he would not do for me.”

This revelation offers a glimpse into the potential influence of family dynamics on an individual's career choices and highlights the varying perspectives that can shape one's journey in the public eye.
