On October 4th, 2023, an incident unfolded in the Lekki area of Lagos, Nigeria, where a young man was caught on camera attempting to take his own life.
The video that circulated online depicted the young man hanging from a rope suspended from a bridge while standing on top of a white bus. Fortunately, two individuals who happened to be present at the scene quickly took action. They climbed onto the bus and intervened, struggling to prevent him from carrying out his attempt to hang himself.
Although, in the background of the video, some people can be heard saying “leave him, leave him”.

After a strenuous effort, during which the young man resisted letting go, the individuals managed to successfully remove the rope from his neck, thwarting his suicide attempt.
Attached to the bridge and the rope at the site of his suicide attempt was a cardboard with the following words “Justice End Game Media”.
