The Lagos State Police Command has provided an update regarding the pending exhumation of Mohbad's body for an autopsy and other related matters.
According to a police source who communicated with Linda Ikeji's Blog (LIB) on Tuesday, September 19, the state command is currently awaiting the completion of paperwork in conjunction with the State Ministry of Health, which is an essential part of the investigative process.
The source further revealed that the exhumation of Mohbad's body is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 20, or at the latest, on Thursday, September 21, to facilitate the autopsy.
Mohbad's death, which occurred on September 12 under controversial circumstances, saw his burial on September 13. Following the distressing revelations of harassment and assault while he was alive, Nigerians have been clamoring for an autopsy to be conducted.
In response to public concerns, the Lagos State Police Command established a 13-man committee on Monday, September 19, tasked with conducting a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's passing. The committee is expected to submit its report within a two-week timeframe.
